Craig Shodeen brings over 40 years of construction and design experience to every home we build. His deep knowledge of craftsmanship, structure, and construction management ensures that each project is built with integrity, precision, and long-term durability in mind.

Craig’s approach is rooted in doing things the right way—no shortcuts, no compromises. From the foundation to the final details, he oversees each build with a commitment to quality and accountability, ensuring that every Sjodin home meets the highest standards.

Samantha Shodeen

President & Interior Designer

Samantha Shodeen is the co-owner, President, and Interior Designer at Sjodin Custom Homes, guiding both the vision and execution of each project. With a strong background in interior design, Samantha works closely with clients to create homes that are functional, intentional, and reflective of their lifestyle—not just current trends.

From floor plan development to finish selections, Samantha helps clients make confident decisions that balance beauty, practicality, and long-term livability. As president, she also leads the company with a focus on communication, organization, and a seamless client experience from start to finish.

  • The root “Sjö” in Swedish is commonly associated with water or lakes, and the “-din / -in” ending was often used historically to form family names. Because of this, Sjodin is generally understood to be a heritage-based family name, connected to Scandinavian roots, reflecting a heritage known for craftsmanship, simplicity, and thoughtful design—values that strongly influence how we build homes today.
